I am running because we need safer streets, support law enforcement, and an efficient justice system. We need to prioritize repeat offenders. We need to back our law enforcement and work with them to keep our community safe. They cannot do their job if they do not have faith in the system that justice will be served.

Republican Chris Mills is Hobbs native and lifelong public servant. As an Army veteran, he served our country and learned discipline, leadership, and the importance of upholding the law. He returned home to New Mexico and attended New Mexico State University. He went on to become a graduate of University of New Mexico School of Law.

He honed his legal skills as an assistant district attorney before transitioning to the other side of the courtroom fighting to ensure fair trials and justice for his clients. He has practiced criminal law for almost two decades.

Chris is uniquely qualified as a current public servant, former prosector, and life long fighter for the Constitution. He is committed to using his experience and expertise to serve the community and make it safer. He is proud to currently serve as a City Commissioner. He lives in Hobbs with his wife D’nae and their son Thomas.
